Did You Miss Georgia O'Keeffe at the MOMA exhibit in 2012?

In an earlier blog post Georgia O'Keeffe: Who Drew Her?, I talked about Marius de Zayas who was an important member of the avant-garde group of painters and photographers, often called the Stieglitz Circle, whose work was shown at Alfred Stieglitz’s Gallery 291 in New York from 1903 until 1918.

Georgia O'Keeffe was part of the circle and had her first one person show there in April, 1917.

An exhibit Stieglitz and His Artists: Matisse to O'Keeffe was held at the Metropolitan Museum in New York last year in 2012. I didn't have a chance to attend, but I did find some wonderful photos from the exhibit that I have posted below and a link to a website that takes you inside the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see some of the exhibit.

If you are like me and did not have a chance to see the exhibit, here's your chance. This website provides a not-to-be missed photographic view of Stieglitz and His Artists: Matisse to O'Keeffe that was held at the Metropolitan Museum in 2012.

For an incredible look at the work of these artists see Jill Kremitz visits Stieglitz and his Artists. Amazing!

Thank you, Jill for sharing this exhibit!
